In my case, the CD unit that mounted the car was older than the tutorial and the parts of the motherboard were completely different, having a different flex cable and with the right shape, when trying to install the BT module using the flex cable that goes to the plate of the CD unit itself this was split.
Thanks to the fact that two units of cable were included in the order I was able to finish the installation, although the cable was not long enough. It does not affect the final result but it is not fixed with the double-sided tape, a longer cable would be appreciated.

I was looking for a good solution for a bluetooth upgrade for my Volvo V50 D1. The shipping was surprisingly fast. When the product arrived the ribbon cable was missing but I contacted the seller and he immediately sent me two new cables. After installing the module everything worked perfectly! Especially if you have an early model. Also, they have questionable audio quality at best. This system hijacks the cd-drive's audio signal giving you proper cd quality audio and works with ANY model audio system present as they all use the same pin-out on the ribbon cable that connects the cd-drive to the rest of the system. The little pcb stack is super easy to install. Just be careful not to break the provided ribbon cables. All in all really good value and really good build quality!
I recommend this to anyone wanting to install bluetooth into their P1 volvo!! Can't wait till the mic cable and steering wheel control harness comes out. Tip: If you're using bluetooth exclusively and don't like the cd audio coming through before your bluetooth device connects, burn an audio cd with 1 track on it that's just inaudible grey noise. Insert it to your cd drive and no more problems with difference in volume between cd and bluetooth device.

I confess I had only watched the video and not read the documentation and this is why I didn't know that you must have a CD playing for the module to be detected.

Product works great, instalation is very easy although the flex from CDrom isnt as flexible and you need to "flex" a little with the cables to fit them to the mainboard. Im hoping to get the stearing wheel remote when it will be available. I am probably one the non- Premium- Sound owners and I tryed several FM transmitters recommended by all the reviews and sellers etc, but this little thingy, it will change the game.
